Description
Development of the Leopard 2 dates back to 1970, right after the failure of the MBT70/KPZ70 project between the US and West Germany. The objective was a modern and mobile main battle tank that should replace the Leopard 1 in the long term. Over the years, the Leopard 2 has repeatedly undergone upgrade programs to increase its combat effectiveness and protection. With the Leopard 2A6, the weapon system was improved and the Rheinmetall 120 mm smoothbore gun L/55 was introduced, which represents a further development of the previous L/44. The Leopard 2 is not only used successfully in the German armed forces, it is also used in other NATO nations trusted in this battle tank.

This model has superior driving characteristics, various functions and realistic sound. The high-quality chains, drive and idler wheels and rollers, as well as the lower hull and the turret are made of metal. Many small parts such as ammunition and different stickers round off the true-to-scale replica perfectly.

The powerful package has a 2.4 GHz controller. The vehicle is equipped with the IR Battlesystem, so battles with vehicles from the same series are possible. The motors with optimized torque give the Leopard 2A6 a precise, smooth ride. Metal gears with robust gears and an improved translation ensure greater power. The proportional control allows you to approach the tank very slowly and increase the speed steplessly. The Leopard 2A6 drives forwards and backwards, also with a left and right turn. It can also be turned left or right on the spot. You can raise and lower the cannon and rotate the turret 360 degrees. Various engine noises, the barrel recoil, muzzle flash and the formation of smoke from the exhaust mufflers round off the realistic experience.
