Thanks to the steering lock, which its front wheels can produce, it's capable of sliding in extreme angles without spinning, which means it is not only forgiving to beginner mistakes, but experienced drivers can use this potential for an aggressive driving style.
Its weight distribution and transmission, designed by top level Japanese drivers, give this chassis an exceptional grip and thanks to a quality dampers and suspension, it can be controlled with ease.
A well-thought design is also a pleasant bonus, which allows you to do any modification, or maintenance in quick an easy way.

Chassis variants to choose from:

• YD-2 E
- Basic plastic kit, good for beginners, as well, as experienced drivers.- Motor is located in lower position, in front of a rear axle, lowered center of gravity provides an increased stability.
• YD-2 S
- Basic plastic kit, good for beginners, as well, as experienced drivers.- Motor is located in upper position, in front of a rear axle, slightly lifted center of gravity provides an increased grip.
• YD-2 ZS
- Basic plastic kit, good for beginners, as well, as experienced drivers.- Motor is located in upper position, in front of a rear axle, similar to the S version.- Weight balance is shifted towards the rear axle for even more grip.
• YD-2 Z
- Basic plastic kit, good for beginners, as well, as experienced drivers.- Transmission with a reversed motor rotation for improved turning agility.- Motor is located in front of the rear axle and can be turned into upper, as well, as lower position.- The transmission has an easier access to the differential.
• YD-2 ZX
- Yokomo's flagship, dedicated to those, who only settle for the best!- Includes carbon chassis plates, aluminum dampers and many other parts.- The transmission and motor location is the same as on Z variant.
• YD-2 ZXR
- YD-2 ZX's sibling with a red-eloxed aluminum parts.

Since this is all the same platform, all variants share a compatible parts. Using a few extra parts, any variant can be easily built into another one, so there's no need to worry, if you choose right.
